Lukiškės and Nepriklausomybės (Independence) squares are two closely bound together objects. They could be called the symbols of Gediminas’ Avenue, Vilnius’ main street. During this tour, you will encounter the buildings that have been and still are significant to Vilnius and Lithuania, revealing the elements of political history associated with the buildings as well as their shift in purpose. Take a walk on the street called the heart of Vilnius to find the most important buildings not only to the city but to the country, as a whole.
