Although you will not see sophisticated buildings and lustrous facades in this tour, you will feel and sense the authentic 19th century spirit present in the architecture. Since the 19th–century, the railway has been the main driving force of this neighbourhood. People would rush to the market upon leaving the train, trying to make it back on time for the last train after dancing in the railway culture palace. If they missed the last train, people spent the night in the railway station, creating a unique social vibe different from anywhere else in the city. This tour will give you a sample of this atmosphere which will have you hooked until the end.
Tours will be guided in Lithuanian.
