This functional and elegant building is reminiscent to the Bauhaus architecture due to its expression and ideas. It is a brave statement made by a young post-war architect. Even though the exterior of the building might seem out-dated today, we are inviting you to explore further and not judge it at your first glance. You might be able to see the unique vision of the former building that was here. A part of it was preserved by the soviet Culture House. This building by Algimantas Mačiulis has many features: both post-war avant-garde as well as the echoes of the Soviet regime, both of which we want to return to the attention of Vilnius citizens.
The current tenants of the building are a theatre and a Ukrainian modern art gallery.
