Writers union palace were redesigned and renovated by six architects and it also changed many owners such as merchants, counts, dukes and nowadays writers are looking for inspiration there. Interior of the palace is now one of the most beautiful and impressive interiors of neo-baroque style in Lithuania. Spectacular moldings of furnace, reliefs of the ceiling, components of blacksmith art, different shades and carvings of wood will amaze everyone.
Palace is full of intriguing legends in which you can clearly see input of Vilnius bohemian ideas. Writers call main stairs by the names of Eros and Tanatos because of numerous love and death stories, which took place there.
